Songs are being learned.  Special guests are being lined up.  The show is being arranged.  Gowns, shoes and bling are  being purchased.  (A diva has to look divalicious!)

Summer break - well sort of, lol

Greetings all,

I hope this post finds you well. This blog has been a little quiet lately. I had surgery at the beginning of June and won't be singing this summer, but look for me in shows this fall. In the meantime, I'll update here from time to time over the summer.

Have a safe and fabulous summer!

The Ellington Show was Great!

Congratulations to the cast of The Musical Magic of Duke Ellington presented two weeks ago in concert.  All of the performances were outstanding!  Kudos to vocalists Pam Crosby, Angie Cockrell, Luke Garcia, Cynthia Simmons, Devre Jackson, Jeff Shadley, Alexander Walter and Chuck Cissel.  The musicians were standouts as well - Scott McQuade on piano, Jordan Hehl on bass, Jared Johnson on drums with Mr. Shadley on trumpet.  Special guests Ms. Pat Moore and Co. were sensational - Ms. Moore on piano, Leon Rollerson on bass and Edward "Spike" Gore on drums - standing ovations from a packed house.  The concert was recorded live for a brand new CD...more details to follow.  This concert was conceived and directed by our own Chuck Cissel.
